The Works Of Rabelais Vols 1 & 2 translated by urquuhart & motteux illustrated by frank c pape.Limited edition set number 220 of 4, 300 of which 2, 300 were for sale in England and 2000 in America .Both volumes are signed by frank c pape and dated 1927.Gilt titles and decoration , vol 1 has name inside front board and pencil writing saying ‘ limited edition signed by author .very minor foxing on first few blank pages with also very minor browning around very extremities of pages. Vol...ume two has a few marks on front board and staining of some sort down side of back board but not through to inside .Name inside front board with pages same condition as volume one.Over all in very good condition.A scarce set of books.
