Incredibly Beautiful 18th C. French Silk Brocade Fabric
Description:This beautiful rare 18th century French silk metallic embroidery has an ecru ivory colored silk backgroundwith lovely metallic scrolls in gold thread, with beautifully rendered tulips and roses in tones of pink, into mauveand roses, wine also with small white and blue flowers with various tones of green leaves .All embroidered in a fine satin stitch.
Measurement:The fabric measurement 26 1/2" W X 12" L
Condition:
Fair.This is truly an 18th century silk embroidery which show its age !There are numerous breaks in the background fabric, aslo holes.However, this is one of the most beautiful embroideries that we've had in 30 years.
