Due to a down-sizing house move I no longer have the space to display my Aircraft collection that have been collected over the last 40 years. So I am listing a number of rare and hard to find items.
Lot 4 - AVRO VULCAN - VERY RARE BLUE STEEL MISSILE FOREPLANE INDICATOR GAUGE Nice example of a very very Rare Avro Vulcan Blue Steel Missile Foreplane Indicator Gauge. Manufactured by Sangamo, this gauge was designed for the Blu...e Steel converted Vulcans. In an era long before Foreplanes were ever seen on any aircraft, the Blue Steel Missile had two small Foreplanes just behind the nose of the missile to steer and altitude control the missile. This gauge was designed to show the Vulcan crew that the missile Foreplanes were correctly and safely set prior to any launch of the weapon. You won't find many of these come up for sale! Lovely clean face. Really nice display item and an ideal Christmas present.
