Here we have a very popular coat and bonnet outfit from Vogue's 1952 'Coats.' You can see a similar outfit on page 85 of Barbara Clark's book, The Colorful World of Ginny. This type of coat and bonnet which came in several colors was often found in Vogue's trunk sets such as The Rich Uncle Trunk or The Rich Aunt Trunk. In this case you will find it as part of my Rich Uncle Trunk promotion, and that's why you see the pictures above with all the contents I am list...ing.......
Unfortunately, this coat and bonnet is not as pristine as some I have seen like it. For one thing, the pink color is faded, and that is probably because it has been washes multiple times. Another problem is that there is a tiny hole on the right side near the side of coat as it fits on a doll. The placement of that tiny hole is on the side of doll under the arm so it is not very visible when on a doll. The last thing wrong is that I had to resew the eye at the waist. Just the bottom of the eye. The thread had broken lose there so that the eye on the bottom was not attached. I made this sewing repair, and now the coat fits snugly on the doll.....
