Early Antique, Perhaps Ancient Hand Carved Stone Bowl Or Mortar - Very Old

I wish I had more information or provenance on this piece, because it appears as though it is a VERY old, perhaps ancient bowl or mortar of some variety. It is most certainly handcarved, and it definitely has some serious age. I’m not exactly an expert, but this is not a new or recent handcarved piece, I believe it has been around for a long long time.It measures approximately 6 inches wide, 4 inches on the inside, 3 inches tall, and about 1 5/8 inches deep. Weight is just over 4 pou...nds.Unfortunately, I cannot make any guarantees as to its authenticity, but I know it has some real age. It is most certainly handcarved, and you can see the lines on the side from it being carved with some sort of point or chisel.It could be Native American, or it could very well be Italian, or any other European or Asian country for that matter, I just don’t know, but it does share some resemblances with some old Italian mortars that I’ve seen.Because I cannot guarantee its authenticity, please bid accordingly, and be aware that there are no guarantees. I just go based on what I observe and what I believe to be true, and I believe this to be an extremely old item of historical significance.
