Old Antique German FLORODORA Doll BISQUE Head Leather Body BROWN Eyes. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
A lovely old Florodora German Made doll that has a Bisque Head; nice Rosey cheeks, open mouth with 4 teeth and open/close brown Glass Eyes, and nicely painted eyelashes. The back of her head reads:" BABY 6/OX Betty" in a circle. Then a "J" and an "A" on the left side of the circle with the letter "M" on the right side of the circle. Below all that on her neck ...are the letters: "D.R.G.A." The on the shoulders it says:"Made in Germany". On her leather chest is a oval red label that states"Florodora a winding ribbon with the words "Germany". She measures 14 inches tall.
The Bisque head is in wonderful condition. Nice and clean face with no issues of any kind. She is wearing a blond wig. Appears to be original, but I do not know, the serious doll collector would know. She has a leather Kidd body, upper arms and upper legs. The leather is in very nice condition . The lower arms and hands are bisque and I can see no damage to them, all fingers are intact. Her lower legs are cloth and in very good condition, no tears of any kind, a small brown spot to lower right leg. She is flexible at the hips with a pin joint;and knees are flexible with a clever leather made joint. She is dressed in a pink satin-like dress, pantaloons and knee high stockings and white shoes. All the clothing is newly made. The pink dress is cute, but is somewhat too big across the chest and shoulders and has to be overlapped in the back to make the dress look more fitted to her body. By the way, the doll holder is for display only and is Not included in this auction. A sweet old German doll, that must have been loved and taken care very well over these last 100 years plus.Any questions please e-mail us.
