This is a rare piece of Royal Worcester modelled by David Fryer. It shows a very realistically sculpted porcelain red squirrel with bronze foliage and base and two porcelain daffodils on the stems behind the squirrel.
It was only made for a very short time, between 1982 and 1984 and it was part of the Woodland Animals on Bronze Series. The marks are on the base as shown in the last two photographs.
