The comptometer was the first commercially successful key-driven mechanical calculator, patented in the United States in 1887. We believe that... this one is the Model J. It has a brass case that measures about 14.75" x 8" x 5.75" inches (not including the handle) and weighs about 18 pounds! We did some brief testing and it seems to work properly.
