Original Description:
This is a fine quality lacquered traditional Japanese hair ornaments which would have been worn in the hair as jewellery possibly by Geisha.  This set comprises of Kushi (hair comb) and Kogai (a two part pull apart hair pin).  This shows off the artists skill in lacquer work as their is Nashiji (gold sprinkles) and Aogai (Mother of Pearl MOP Abalone sprinkles).  Both the Kushi (Comb) and the Kogai (hair pin) carry the artists signature a true sign of quality.  Prese...nted in a silk lined lift off lidded box.  Dates to Meiji period 1868 - 1912.  For more information please see pictures.  Please note I only send my items insured and tracked.
