This is a real high quality example of a Victorian mother of pearl and abalone card case.Both sides have abalone shell corner panels and engraved foliage.The front has a stunning, high relief carved central panel of a bird perched in a bunch of flowers.The hinged top sits firmly on the main section . The push-button closure clip operates perfectly.I would say that condition is excellent for its 120 odd years.1 corner does has a tiny loss and there is the odd tiny rough edge or corner t...o the m.o.p. panels.The case measures approx. 4.2” x 3.1” , so is a good size.Please see photos..Good luck if you bid!
