RARE 1998 FENDER SQUIER AFFINITY STRATOCASTER STRAT ELECTRIC GUITAR

This is a 1998 Indonesian made Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster solid body electric guitar. Affinity series strats were introduced in 1997 and by 1999 they all had the thinner 40 mm bodies that they still have today, but this one measures 1 and 3/4 inches thick. It also has 22 frets. I had to have a peek, so before I restrung it I took the neck off. Looks like the body may be alder judging by the color of the wood that is visible there, but I am not sure(see photo). T...his is a clean, fresh looking guitar with very little play wear. It has some fine scratches. mostly on the back. There is a little scratch below the word "Affinity" on the headstock. There is a dime sized bruise on the very bottom of the body below the neck tone pot. There is a finish crack that is about an inch long right on the edge of the back where the body is rounded at its "corner", more so towards the end of the guitar than the top. I almost missed it but happened to run my finger over it. The back side end edge has some scuffing. The guitar plays good and all the controls and pickups work fine.
