It was half the price of the 4000, and a welcomed addition to the Phase Linear line of components. It was designed by A.P. Van Meter and was a less complex approach to pre-amplification than the 4000. It was manufactured to 1977.The 2000 Series Two was introduced in 1978, replacing the 2000.
