Antique Whitefriars “twisted stem” glass designed by Harry Powell in the 1880s. The glass measures approximately 12.5cm/4 7/8inches high and the bowl is 7cm/2 3/4inches in diameter at the rim. The condition is excellent apart from a small chip to the rim of the foot, please see detail photograph. Please see page 104, plate 33 in the excellent book ‘Whitefriars Glass, The Art of James Powell & Sons‘ by Lesley Jackson for other twisted stem glasses.
