Fine antique signed letter from the niece of French literary giant Honore de Balzac, Countess Ernestine Rzewuska (1846-1908), a rich heiress of Polish extraction, her aunt Countess Ewlina Hanska (1805-1882) married Balzac in 1850, the letter, written in French on stationery embossed with her initials surmounted by a crown, dated 1876 and is written to her future husband Count Felix Kopacz de Melewiewski, an officer in the Russian imperial army and Commander of the Order of Malta, it is accompanied by its original envelope with embossed back flap.
