Up for sale is this nice antique 1877 copy of Longfellow's tragic Viking poem, "The Skeleton in Armor." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild soiling and wear with some wear to the extremities of the spine and some corner wear. All of the page edges are gold gilt. There is a period name inscription to the front flyleaf. The binding of the book is good and sound. Some pages have some marginal ...dampstaining and there is the occasional page with some light foxing, soiling, and grubbiness. Along with that, there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, creased page corner, tiny tear or chip, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book is beautifully illustrated some black and white plates and some nice illustrated text borders. The book measures approximately 9 1/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches.
