Antique Rare Plate 1 - Cries of LondonVisual Description: Antique color stippled engraving print of Francis Wheatley's 'Cries of London'. This is a rare edition being Plate 1 of 12, The Primrose Seller. The medium is a heaver stock paper and shows plate marks. Lovely stippled engraving with beautiful coloring and expression. This plate was engraved by L. Schiavonetti after F. Wheatley, R.A. painting of Two Bunches a Penny, Primroses.

This comes framed in a hardwood frame with the original seating and wiring and glass front. One of the screws have come loose that holds the wire but otherwise appears to be in very good condition. The print itself is also in very good condition and color, there are a few jagged edges on the outer most edge (unable to see in frame). The close up pictures have been taken using a magnifying loupe so you can see the details. There is some dust and debris that have fallen between the print and glass but it is not on the print itself. There appears to be a small discoloration on the border near the bottom right.
The overall measurements to include the frame are 21" by 17.5" (diagonal 27") and weighs 4 lbs. 13 oz. (unpackaged).
