It's hard to imagine with all the pictures above that this auction is for one little canister with curlers inside. But that's how things often happen....one thing is part of something else and then that unit is part of something even bigger. This canister belongs to Vogue's 'Ginny' Wavette outfit which was manufactured in 1952. There just so happens to be a picture of a canister similar to this one on page 72 of Barbara Clark's book, The Colorful World of Ginny.
An...d that Wavette outfit is part of what you often find in Vogue's Rich Uncle Trunk of 1952 That's why you see the last picture above of the whole trunk. It's part of my current promotion, and I am listing things piece by piece....
This canister and the four curlers inside are in very good to excellent condition. The only reason I don't rate this canister and curlers as just plain excellent is that the cardboard cover has been opened a few times, and that causes a slight bending of the cover. This cover has the Ginny logo and other information about Vogue written on it as you can see in the photo above. A little wear on the cover, but no nicks, scratches, tears in the plastic canister. Other than what I have described, nothing wrong to report here.....
