Original Description:

For sale today we have this very fine Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase by Florence Barlow. This vase represents a real departure for Florence, usually known for her Pate-Sur-Pate depictions of British birds (song, game etc), this piece features a very Exotic looking rainforest bird with a high plume, long tail and a kind of "caped" neck. Set against a beige ground with creamy whorls, no borders, the bird really is the star. Stands 11 1/4" tall x 4" in Diameter. Bears a Doulton Lambet...h "cog" stamp (circa 1900). Incised FEB 269 for Barlow.
A lovely vase presented to the market displaying as perfect. The vase has had invisible professional restoration to a rim chip- not noticed at all. This piece would make a wonderful addition to any serious Doulton collection.
