Antique Wedgwood Light Blue Jasper Ware Sacrifice Figure Framed Plaque (c. 1800)
Item History & Price
The wooden frame (with a hanger ring at the top) has antique look, but is likely not as old as the plague. We think the plaque was framed after the repairs, but cannot say it for certain. Frame has some ware, but is in very good shape overall.
Would you please review the pics for more details, and let us know if you'd like to see more - we would be happy to share. Questions are encouraged and welcome.
Dimensions: frame: 6 7/8" x 5 1/4" x 1/2", sight area: 5 1/4" x 3 5/8"
Plaque has only two marks seen (the opening was made by one of the previous owners): "WEDGWOOD" and "WED...", we believe the plaque was manufactured in the early 1800s, c.1800.
