Original Antique Ames Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword Dated 1856

Ames 1832 Foot Artillery Sword. This is dated 1856 with RHKW inspection mark. Also has the inspector's initials of J.H. This is considered the large block address. Overall condition is well above average. Blade length is 19" with an overall length of 25". Handle and guard are one piece brass with the fish scale look. Blade is 1-3/4" at ricasso. Comes with cast eagle on pummel. Lea...ther sheath is in good shape. Stitching has separated and brass braids have fallen out. Large letter mark unusual and interesting to collectors of Ames swords.
