Rare - Civil War Soldier Tintype - Armed With A Model 1832 Short Artillery Sword.  9th plate tintype.  The soldier is Identified by writing on the inside of the Thermoplastic case.  He is named Robert Fairchild and denotes the image was taken in 1861.  The Thermoplastic case has clasp that works and shuts.  The short artillery sword can be seen on his left side.  Great condition and contrast is great He is also wearing an eagle sabre plate.  Condition... is "Used".
