1930's Vintage Oriental Silk Embroidery Panel With Bats + Flowers - Museum DeaccessionFor your consideration we are offering a vintage oriental silk embroidery panel, believed to date to the 1930s.Hand embroidered with exquisite detail, displays a beautiful flowers and bats hovering above colorful florals, on a red colored silk ground. The panel is offset andtrimmed with hand embroidery with blue and white threads border in black silk.Recently deacces...sioned from the Rochester Strong museum in New York with its original museum fabric catalog identification tag still is attached.
In overall very good vintage condition, the panel is astructurally sound panel with intricate embroidery that remains fully intact.The fabric framework surrounding the panel, has been skillfully tailored andsewn in place by hand and compliments the panel nicely. Decorated and scattered embroidered florals and leaves thruout with finest embroidery throughout. Lovely gold metallic thread stitched into tree trunks.
Backed with a blue gauze like fabric.
In very good condition, with no spots, repairs and no damage.
Measures 22-1/4" in length and 19-1/2" in width.
