Item up for bid is a fantastic vintage Underwood Champion typewriter that comes in a wonderful two part case. Main part of the case opens to reveal the typewriter as a standard case would. The bottom of the case opens to reveal an aluminum stand which allows the hinged bottom to push up on the left and serve as a desk while the legs hold the entire typewriter up. All hinges work beautifully and closing snaps work. The closing snap for the bottom section requires you to manually push th...e tab to keep it closed. The typewriter itself is in great condition with great paint. The bar for the E key does not come up for some reason while all other keys function perfectly and the carriage functions perfectly. We tested it out and everything except for the E typed clearly on the paper. Typewriter itself measures 11-3/8" front to back by 12-2/8" wide across the carriage. Case has initials of the original owner marked on the front and shows some light wear and fading from age. Case measures 8" x 13". We are pleased to offer a 14 day, no questions asked return policy. If you don't like an item for any reason just contact us a.s.a.p. and just mail it back to us and you get a full refund of your purchase price. It's as simple as that.
We know full well the value of every cent so any item over $50 will be shipped insured to provide you with the greatest protection and leave you with no risk.
Due to the rising cost of shipping supplies we have been forced to follow many other professional sellers in charging a handling fee. Fee is estimated based upon costs of previous items we have shipped that are in the size and shape range of this item with consideration given to how fragile the item will be to ship.
Payment in full is expected within 7 days of the end of a listing. Items not paid for will result in the item being relisted and being blocked from future bidding or buying.
Sometimes smells miss our noses and we are unaware of their presence. For this reason, we can not guarantee items to be free from various smells, however if we notice anything we are sure to put it in the listing.
We accept Paypal along with various other forms. Please note that items paid for by personal or business checks will require a mandatory waiting period of 7 business days prior to the item being shipped.
