This is an interesting pair of very large Staffordshire seated russet red & white spaniel dogs with the wonderful facial decoration and overall portrayals of which:date from the 19th century, dating about c1880s.Staffordshire, England origin.A left and a right.A wonderful portrayal of the very large seated pair of spaniel dogs with:each having the russet red & white decoration and colouring with the wonderful facial detailing and portrayals.Pointed noses.Pottery.Both have ...gilt collars, locks & chains.Each has an overall height of about 12.5inches.Max base sizes of about 7.25 x 4inches.Max base dias including bushy tails of about 9.5inches.Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is:one is excellent and is not subject to:any major blemishes except a kiln blemish to the rear, which is from time of manufacture:other has a series of hairlines to the rear centrally with:a chip to centrepoint of the hairlines.the hairlines continues to the front side.Due to age, both are subject to minor areas of loss of colour with overall fine crazing.All as per pictures.Besides being a very collectable, very heavy, pair of: 19th century, Staffordshire seated russet red & white spaniel dogs, with the wonderful facial decoration and overall portrayals, gilt collars, locks and chains, c1880s, both would also look fabulous displayed.uk to uk:FREEuk to usa: FREEuk to eu europe: FREEuk to worldwide: $59
