This is one of the hard to find Tony Sarg Marionettes done by Madame Alexander from 1934 to 1940. He is Hansel, in the original outfit, which looks pretty good just missing a button. The doll has some crazing and paint loss on the shoes. His mohair is worn and could use more added. The tip of his nose is flattened so he probably was dropped face down more than once. I'm sure the gold ring holding the strings is more recent.
