Original Description:
Southern Cross of Honor by  Crankshaw, United Daughters of the Confederacy. 1861-1865. Has screw back.  Was part of a jewelry lot I bought at auction in Virginia.  Parts of the C for Charles, and C for Crankshaw on the back are missing.  Maybe this is a clue as to whether it is an original or not. It is hard to show the detail in pics.  There appears to be lines on the outside borders at certain places.  The confederate flag faces out, which may mean that ...it was reversed.  The link that connects the top with the cross appears soldered with silver material. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
