DESCRIPTION:PRICE REDUCED! This listing is for a lovely German bisque head doll who may need a little "TLC". Incised on the back of her bisque head is "570, Germany, Halbig, S & H". Reference attributes to German maker Simon & Halbig, 1890+. This doll measures 21" tall being a bisque socket head on wood composition doll body. Body shows overall wear, total repaint, a few scuffs & paint loss for being 100 or so years old. Doll is jointed at the neck, ...shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. This doll has a nice expressive face with open and close brown glass sleepy eyes. The eyes are a little off center, I do not know her past history but possibly they are replacement eyes that need to be reset a bit. She has painted straight lashes below the eyes, brush stroked brown eye brows, open mouth with upper teeth, blushed cheeks with a faint dimple in her chin. I flashed inside her bisque head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Wears an auburn brown human hair wig that is glued on a pate on her head, wig is just a bit large but charming. Doll wears a peach Turn of the Century "style" dress being a silk blend with buttons down the back and embroidery trim. This dress needs a cleaning as there are a "few stains" on the front of the dress you can see in my photos, or you may wish to replace her dress. She wears one piece undies with top, stockings and antique reproduction shoes. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
