DESCRIPTION:This listing is for a beautiful antique German doll by Schoenau & Hoffmeister, 1910+. Incised at the back of her bisque head is "S PB in s star, 19093-1/2". Doll is a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body, she is strung and jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact, nails are accented with red lines. Body has orig finish with some overall wear, scuffs for being 100 or so years old but a good German b...ody. She has a "sweet" expressive face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, a little wear on the eye lids, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked eye brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, rose color blush on her perfect face. I flashed her head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Wears dark brunette synthetic wig with locks, it slips over a pate on her head. She wears a designer made French style costume by "Barbara Lionetti". There is a removable jacket and fancy matching hat. Doll wears slip, pantaloons, stockings and designer made shoes. Clothing is clean and in nice condition like this doll. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
