talking CHATTY CATHY doll by MATTEL 1960 Hard Face with Freckles and pretty Blue Sleeper Eyes with long black eyelashes. In her Original Box..."you can tell it's MATTEL..it's swell!"
Dimensions: 19 1/2" Tall. Her Arms and legs move at the hips and shoulder joints so she can either stand up or sit down. Her eye lids open and close.
CONDITION - In nicely played with condition. In under garment pajama and scarf, socks and shoes. Shoe straps' metal snaps have old tape. The... "Chatty-Ring" for talking her )up to 18 different sayings - pulls out nicely. The sound while she is speaking is garbled- sometimes less than others. On some I can make the words out- on most I can not tell what she is saying. Like- "Can I come play with you".As you can see in my photos- Chatty does not come with her original dress- but she does have her panties, a night shirt, socks, and shoes, and a scarf. Her blonde hair in pigtails ( with rubber bands and ribbons) is in very good condition. The box is approx. 80% as it has tears on corners, the flaps, and along edges as well as some written words on one of the top flaps- it is 59 years old and was a child's toy!
