Vintage MCM mid-century modern HUGE atomic drip glaze California Pottery Ashtray! Mid-century aficionados must've taken their smoking seriously with this giant ashtray, a whopping 11" x 11". It's heavy ceramic. I'm not an expert, but it looks to be a California pottery piece with a shiny, drip glaze finish in red, orange, avocado, and black over a base of white. There are two imperfections, but the piece is in overall good condition for its age. There is one tiny chip on the top edge n...ear one corner. The second chip is on the underside of a different corner and hard to detect when you're looking at it from the top. I've attached pics of this chip from different angles. Please check out the photos, as I've done my best to document the condition. It is large enough where it could also make a unique candy or trinket dish. I've always displayed it on its own (it's a statement piece for sure!) on a mid-century modern end table. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Thank you for looking!
