Here is  a very cool old thermal controller made by General Electric and Telechron.

The unit has a bakelite base with a hinged metal cover. I added a power adapter to power the low AC voltage clock.(plugs in the back-removable)

I think this thing would still work to power on an off a heating system or other device.  It is very well made in the 1930's (?) and is heavy duty.  It just has that funky industrial

steam punk look.  Would make a nice... addition to a man cave or steam punk theme.
