Original Description:
Scarce WW2 era M1905 bayonet dated 1943 & super-rare “lazy S” scabbard made by Detroit Gasket Company. The bayonet was made by American Fork & Hoe Company - A.F.H. / US "flaming bomb" / 1943 date stamp on ricasso. Very rare brown grips type –just a fraction of WW2 grips came in brown CAB plastic; CAB grip bayonets were manufactured only for about a month. Original factory edge blade; the tip is intact; about 95% of the original blueing remaining. The handle is in great shape. Re...lease mechanism is tight and 100% functional. The bayonet is about 20-1/2"/ 52 cm overall; the blade is about 16"/ 40.6 cm. Original Detroit Gasket composition scabbard is in great condition, considering the age.
