GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGrafton“Hungry Cat Teapot” This piece did not turn out the way I first imagined it to be. I first sculpted the fish whole and unspoiled. But accidents happen in the kiln and when I woke up the morning after the firing, parts of the fish were all over the kiln. Some will say, oh that is just a sad fact about making pottery, sometimes you loose pieces during the firing. But I know different, I have had pl...enty of pet cats in my life and I know that this was no accident. So I remade the final design to show what I believe really happened. The cat just got a little hungry overnight and couldn't resist the easy meal so conveniently within his reach.This cat and fish teapot is 10 inches tall, the fish bones are made of metal and are very sturdy, Thanks for looking, Mitchell.
