RARE AND VERY HISTORIC 1962 'LOVE ME DO" RED LABEL PARLOPHONE 45! THIS IS THE TECHNICAL "DECEMBER, 1962" VERSION OF THE RECORD WITH THE TAX CODE "ZTP" IN THE TRAIL OFF AREATHIS IS AN ORIGINAL DECEMBER, 1962 BRITISH RED LABEL "LOVE ME DO / P.S. I Love You" 45! (Parlophone R-4949). THIS IS TECHNICALLY THE LATER 1962 ISSUE VARIATION OF THE EIGHT VARIATIONS KNOWN TO EXIST FOR THE ORIGINAL RED LABEL PARLOPHONE ISSUE OF THIS RECORD. IT'S VERY TECHNICAL AND "HAIR SPLITTING" INFORMATION THAT D...ETERMINES THIS, SO I RECOMMEND THE BOOK, "BEATLES FOR SALE ON PARLOPHONE RECORDS" BY BRUCE SPIZER AND FRANK DANIELS. IT'S A GREAT BOOK ON UK RECORDS AND I GOT THE INFORMATION STRAIGHT FROM THE BOOK ABOUT IT. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE PRINT STYLE AND IT'S EXACT PLACEMENT ON THE LABEL AS WELL AS THE TAX CODE STAMPING IN THE TRAIL OFF AREA. I DON'T HAVE THE MANY MANY DETAILS HERE, BUT IT IS THE DECEMBER, 1962 PRESSING, BUT NOT THE VERY FIRST. THE FIRST ONE IS ACTUALLY AMAZINGLY RARE BEING PRESSED IN SEPTEMBER, 1962 WITH ONLY A FEW THOUSAND COPIES BEING PRESSED. THE 2ND AND 3RD LABEL VARIANTS ARE RARE TOO AND STILL FROM 1962. BY THE 2ND HALF OF 1963, THE PARLOPHONE LABELS WERE CHANGED TO BLACK. THIS ONE HAS VERY NICE VG+ VINYL BOTH SIDES! THE LABELS ARE NEAR MINT ON BOTH SIDES. THIS IS A VERY RARE AND HISTORIC EARLY BEATLES RECORD IN GREAT SHAPE! RETAINS THE PARLOPHONE COMPANY SLEEVE ALSO IN VG+ CONDITION WITH NO SPLITS.
