ITEM: This is a 1950s vintage and original pin-up photograph of actress Terry Moore. A poised and pretty cheesecake view, the barefoot bathing beauty is all smiles as she smiles poolside while soaking up the sun in a lawn chair.
Moore got her foot in the business as a child model and later radio actress. She worked steadily in films in the 1950s but saw her career start to falter as the sixties wore on. Moore became the subject of public attention as a result of her relationship with Howard Hughes. According to Moore, she and Hughes were married in 1949 in a ceremony performed by a ship captain in international waters. Moore has said that Hughes destroyed the ship's log that recorded the marriage, and they separated from each other by 1956, but she and Hughes were never divorced. At age 55, Moore posed nude in the August 1984 issue of Playboy magazine, photographed by Ken Marcus.
Measures 8.25" x 10" on a glossy, single weight paper stock.

Born Helen Luella Koford on January 7, 1929, the Los Angeles, California, native worked as a model before she made her film debut at age 11 in 20th Century-Fox's Maryland (1940). Throughout the 1940s she worked under a variety of names (her own, Judy Ford and January Ford) before settling on Terry Moore in 1948. Placed under contract by Columbia Pictures, Moore was loaned out to RKO for one of her most famous films, Mighty Joe Young (1949). In 1953 she received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Paramount's Come Back, Little Sheba (1952). In the 1970s she was in the news more than she was in films, asserting that she was the secret wife of the late billionaire Howard Hughes. She has starred in 77 feature films and listed among her leading men are such Hollywood legends including Burt Lancaster, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Tyrone Power, Glenn Ford, Mickey Rooney and Robert Wagner. Since she was a pilot herself, Terry played a major role in preparing Leonardo DiCaprio for his portrayal of Howard Hughes in The Aviator (2004).
