This is a handmade "Man in the Moon" face that I created in clay. It measures 10" tall. It's been Raku fired to about 1890 degrees. It has a sturdy wire hanger on the back. All of my pottery is made by hand and although I repeat styles and characters, no two are the same, so you get a one of a kind piece. Cracks in the glaze are from the thermal shock of taking the piece from the red hot kiln and into the reduction conta...iner, and are usually desirable. There is no lead in the glazes but then Raku pottery isn't suitable for food or beverages anyway.
