Man In The Moon Wall Hanging - Handmade And Raku Fired Studio Pottery

This is a handmade "Man in the Moon" face that I created in clay after a turn of the century 1900's cigar advertisement that had one corner of the mouth open where a cigar could be inserted.  I've reworked that part of the mouth to omit the cigar.  It measures almost 11" tall.  It's been Raku fired  to about 1890 degrees.  It has a sturdy wire hanger on the back.  All of my pottery is hand made and although I repeat styles and characters, no two are the sa...me, so you get a one of a kind piece.  Cracks in the glaze are from the thermal shock of taking the piece from the red hot kiln and into the reduction container, and are usually desirable.  There is no lead in the glazes but then Raku pottery isn't suitable  for food or beverages anyway.  I also make mid range fired functional teapots, smoking pipes, mugs,   bowls, plates, wall pockets and other functional ware that is safe for food and beverages.Look at the photos carefully before purchasingPay Pal is the preferred method of paymentPayment is due within 3 days of using Buy It Now unless arrangements are madeItem will be shipped within 3 business days of receiving paymentInternational buyers should request an invoice for an accurate shipping priceI will gladly combine shipping on multiple items that are purchased within a 5 day spanEach item will be carefully packed for shipping.  Except for pipes, I ship pottery using Priority MailIf you find a problem with your item, please contact me first and I'll work with you to resolve itThanks for looking at my work in clay
