         VINTAGE PLAID LITHO TIN BASKET WITH WOODEN HANDLES
THESE OLD TINS WERE POPULAR IN THE 1930-40'S EARLY 50'S.OFTEN STARTED OUT LIFE HOLDING COOKIES THEY BECOME POPLAR LUNCH TINSAND PICNIC BASKETS AND GREAT CATCH ALLS.
THIS TIN BASKET SITS 5 3/4 INCHES HIGH AT THE LID AND 9 1/2 INCHES HIGH TO THE HANDLES WHEN UPRIGHT.IT IS 12 1/4 INCHES LONG AND 7 1/8 INCHES WIDE.CLEAN INSIDE, SOME LIGHT SURFACE RUST ON THE LID.HANDLES INTACT AND MOVE TO THE SIDES -... THE RIGHT SIDE IS TIGHT BUT THEY DO EXTEND OVER THE SIDE.
THE LAST PHOTO IS FROM COUNTRY HOME MAGAZINE AND SHOWS THESE OLD TINS STACKED.GREAT STORAGE AND DISPLAY BOXES.
