Martha Chase Doll shown is a pre-1920s Martha Chase cloth stockinette doll with jointed elbows and knees, hand painted facial features, stuffed with cotton Made by Hand, Painted by Hand, Made by Especially Trained Workersinches tall = 24 inchesMade by Martha Jenks Chase American made in Rawtucket RI , USA.The head and limbs are of stockinette , treated and painted with oil. Doll has rough stroked hair to provide texture . The body is jointed at the shoulders..., hips, elbows, and knees.Doll has painted eyes , some cracking in paint and worn areas.There is some rub to the hands , fingers, and heals.Nothing repainted and appears all original.Doll is dressed in coveralls , shirt , and hand crocheted bonnet.The clothes are old , probably original , but not sure. This doll comes from a smoke free, pet free , mold free home.This doll is unique cuz it was hand made 100+ years agoweight lbscondition used
