Antique Dr. Wall Worcester "Pine Cone" Pattern Openwork Basket, c. 1770 - 1780. This first period Dr. Wall period Worcester pierced basket is a soft paste porcelain example with a beautiful cobalt blue printed design in the "Pine Cone" pattern. A larger version of this rare Worcester basket is illustrated in Sandon's "Worcester Blue & White Porcelain", page 383. It dates the basket from 1770 - 1785. Very rare form in very good condition for the age!
