For sale is this Fabulous Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver & Cut Glass Inkwell fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1927 with a makers mark W.H & SS Ltd.. for William Hutton & Sons Ltd., Hanley Street, Birmingham.The Inkwell measures 10.5cm tall with the base measuring 9cm square in fabulous condition with NO nicks, chips or cracks to the cut glass and NO dings or dents to the Sterling Silver Collar or Lid just having the usual light surface scratch marks commensurate with age a...nd use.The sides to the inkwell are clear with the base having deep cut hobnail decoration which radiates throughout the glass.The Sterling Silver collar and to the inside of the lid bears full and clear hallmarks, all original with a fully functional hinge with the lid closing tight.The gross weight of this inkwell is a heavy 1100 grams.A beautiful Art Deco example.Recovered from an old Deceased Estate and new to the market.CHR60/EST/P45/L32
