From France a beautiful hand embroidered linen night/dressing gown. Beautifully hand sewn with wonderful attention to detail. Charming scalloped detail around neck and sleeve. Eyelet detail around neckline.Charming small hand sewn monogram MD. A line shape panel inset detail on bottom sides. The tie to gather the neckline is still attached. This is a great feature to adjust the fit!Delightful light weight homespun linen with lovely floppy hand. Light oatmeal color. ... Gorgeous piece to be worn or for display! Dating late 19th to early 20th century.Would also be great for re-purposing for many creative projects as the linen itself is gorgeous and the stitching and embroidery are just lovely!!!! Wonderful condition. I note two very light marks on bottom in back see last photo. Carefully hand washed.Please see photos for additional item condition and detail.
