Antique 19th C SHAKER Pantry DARK CORN STRAW Sample WHISK BROOM Brush 8.25"- it is made of Straw (or corn straw) and has a round wooden handle with a wire wrapped broom or brush. It is possibly a Shaker Community made broom as we have had others similarly designed and made which were- but we are not certain.   Either way it is a really neat very hard to find form of broom and always at a premium. It is in really good condition and has really good patina.
This would look g...reat displayed on a peg rack. It measures 8.25" long from the top to the end of the bristles and is approx 2.25" -2.5 wide at the bottom of the brush.  View my other auctions for additional fine period items.
