This is a western cutlery pre w49 marked bowie knife. This knife is stamped BOWIE on one side and WESTERN BOULDER COLO. USA on the other side. We've left the blade as it was found... lots of tarnish, surface rust, some edge chips, plenty of authentic patina. Blade is strong and fixed, no functional issues.
