Original Description:
Vintage French Counterbalance Rise and Fall Light Fixture with lovely opaline glass shade with piecrust edge.   The shade is 10 inches in diameter and I can find no cracks or chips , except some roughness on the fitter edge. Has its original brass shade holder.  The socket is an old North American fatboy style.   The ceramic parts are in good shape.  The cord  is there to demonstrate  the light fixture and has never been tested. The counter-weight is about... 5 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide.
