Original Description:
Vintage letter opener from The Standard Lumber Co. of Birmingham, Alabama.  Handle appears to be copper while the blade is brass.  Measures about 9.5" long.  Uncleaned condition.  Very slight bend at the very tip.  We found a reference to this company from a 1932 lawsuit before the Alabama Supreme Court.
