Welcome! For auction is this rare old Chinese embroidered silk robe measuring appx. 54 1/2" across the arms and 38 1/4" tall. Wrinkles, creases, some scattered possible loose/missing threads, soiling, stains and wear. Some gold threads coming up at border. Small repair under arm where there is a later added metal button, which likely replaced one of the cord and gilt ball clasps. Light silvery-purple ground with five clawed dragons. Some separation of seams at arm, which could be repai...red. A beautiful old robe which shows some wear from age and use, but lovely quality and may be able to be cleaned up a little.
