Small 19th Century, Part Post Mortem Set / Field Surgeons Kit In Case - J. Day.

Part post mortem or field surgeons kit. Certain items point towards a post mortem set but other things appear to be a field set; the item in picture 6 appears to be a bullet extractor (but could be wrong) and pictures 8, 9 and 10 show a tripod stand which holds a half circular 'rest' (inner diameter just under 3 inches) which I have not seen before. This is possibly for a patient to place an arm onto, or an ankle while a surgeon does his job. All of portable size, the case measuring 10..." x 4".
The small saw is missing and the handle of the saw more than likely fitted other implements in the case. Some items are quite stained and a bit rusty.
A few items are engraved, 'J. Day' or 'J. Gay'. There is a record of an instrument maker by the name of James Day (1825 - 28) otherwise I have been unable to find anything else.
No cracks to the brass bound case but the hook fasteners are broken.
