Up for auction is a set of assorted new old stock and used Parts for the 1941 Hamilton Model 21 Marine chronometer.
Note that some of the parts have oxidation or residue which has accumulated from 75 years of storage
I am not completely familiar with all of the parts in this lot, these parts appear to consist of :
1 x Hamilton Silvered Chronometer Dial in used condition with wear and oxidation - see photos
1 x Large Brass Mounting Ring
1 x blued steel fuse...e Sustaining Spring
2 x curved fusee-ratchet-spring
1 x canon pinion3 x large brass "Bowl Screws" (which are used to attached the spring loaded dust-plate on the bottom of the clock bowl.) Only the 3 mounting screws are included.8 x minute hand 2 x Metal "Hamilton Watch Co." name plate1 x barrel bridge, with unusual serial number "SP104" 2 x Sapphire Balance Cap Jewels, in setting.1 x Cover Plate for ratchet setup wheel (darkened and needs cleaning)2 x Metal Instruction plate for "corking the balance" prior to shipping a chronometer1 x New Old Stock Large Bridge Plate (Hamilton Part # 42062) which is still in the original Hamilton factory protective wrap and envelope.1 x Fusee End Plate (Hamilton part # 42018) in labeled storage bottle2 x Fusee Top Plate (Hamilton part # 42008) in labeled storage bottle
Also 1 extra part for the smaller Hamilton Model 22 Deck Watch chronometer:1 x jeweled bridge for HAMILTON MODEL 22 Deck Chronometer
