See last picture of scratches on handle.  No rust or corrosion.These are "Saxon" tongs, a clever simple and strong design where the handle end is bent back under the thumb tab, creating a reliable, easy-to-control spring action.  A rare and collectable item as well as an elegant and useful tool.
